Craven County Elections Director Earns Federal Election Administration Certification
Susan R. Williams, Director of the Craven County Board of Elections, has earned the U.S. Election Assistance Commission's (EAC) Certificate of Federal Professional Training, a national credential for election professionals dedicated to expanding their knowledge, skills, and expertise.
That achievement reflects a deep commitment to professional growth and continuous learning, a standard shared by election professionals nationwide.
The U.S. Election Assistance Commission (EAC) is an independent, bipartisan federal commission whose mission is to help election officials improve the administration of elections and help Americans participate in the voting process. The EAC's no-cost certification program offers professional development for election administrators across the country. The curriculum spans foundational and advanced topics including election law, accessibility, office administration, communications, voting systems and technology, and poll worker training. Director Williams recently received recognition for her 10 years as an Elections Director and has served 3 of those years as the Craven County Elections Director.
